Simpsons Game Boy Games Review With Mike Matei

If you are frequent purveyor of our blog, you may know that we're HUGE fans of Cinemassacre - home of the brilliant web series, The Angry Video Game Nerd. The AVGN reviews A Boy and His Blob (NES), The Three Stooges (NES), Home Improvement (SNES), Pit Fighter (SNES), Bubsy 3D (PS1), Spider-Man and Venom Maximum Carnage (SNES). It gives us a chance to play and talk about a lot of games that wouldn't be appropriate for the Nerd to review.

At its worst, it was cringe-inducingly unfunny, and sometimes even offensive, as many of the film's jokes play on insensitive gender stereotypes about gamers. Around a year or so after the DVD review, James decided to take the big leap that he'd wanted to attempt for a while and finally begin production on the long-anticipated Angry Video Game Nerd Movie.

I always thought the reason people complain about this game's difficulty was because games today are too easy compared to games from the NES era. The next thing that happened was James told me he was going to Hollywood to film the AVGN movie. Once he showed me that video, I instantly told him that he should do more board game related videos because I saw the same sort of potential with Board James that I saw with the Nerd.

The feud culminated when the Nerd and the Nostalgia Critic crossed paths in person in a video game store in Clifton, New Jersey called Digital Press. The show would later encompass reviews of gaming consoles, peripherals, and short lectures about video game history and culture.

It all starts with Mike and Gadget furthering their plans to take over Cinemassacre completely in James's absence as they turn to the audience and greet us. Mike politely introduces the audience to a well-animated Inspector Gadget that puts the original outsourced DiC cartoon to shame.

Well, Zelda is my favorite video game franchise. Pretty much every major game review show online today has AVGN” to thank for establishing its format. Sweet thanks for the review Mike I didnt even know this game was out i will defiantly Mike Matei be playing it this weekend, love the old mega man games from NES.

Rolfe diversified the reviews of platforms and products such as the Atari 2600, Super NES, Sega Master System and Sega Genesis video game consoles, the Power Glove and U-Force peripherals, films such as The Wizard, and the Nintendo Power magazine. James Rolfe (also known as his character's name The Angry Video Game Nerd”), made headlines this week after what could only be assumed is a massive attack on women around the world.

In many cases, the Nerd would dress up as other popular characters while reviewing their games, such as Batman. I imagined most hard games back int he 90s was just because of hardware limitations and novice coding, and people just somehow ended up loving them.

Matei is the editor for James & Mike Mondays. Hell yeah man,I love these, and I also like that game Magic Sword,I got that one on Snes still. And one thing we love about the Cinemassacre site is that alongside the AVGN reviews, James Rolfe and Mike Matei also have done numerous videos discussing movies and B-movies in particular, most notably in their annual Monster Madness review series.

The AVGN plays the NES game Friday the 13th based on the horror movie. But, just like in the games that the nerd finds himself tirelessly trudging through, you'll come across many reasons to swear like a sailor. I like his movie reviews, but not his video game glitches.
